Can insurance companies insure me?
I have a car that is in my sister’s name. But my sister now lives in Korea. So I drive now and the insurance covers both me and my sister.
Next month, I might switch my insurance company..
I wonder if they can insure both me and my sister even though my sister is abroad and her license is expired… help me guys!
If the vehicle is in her name then the policy HAS to be in her name as well. However if she is not here to sign the application then you will not be able to insure the vehicle with a new insurer. Plus most insurers are wary of insuring a vehicle where the owner’s license is lapsed or suspended. You should have transferred the vehicle into your name, that way you can avoid the requirement of her being around to sign the application.
