I played the lead in ‘This Life Sucks’ but people couldn’t take the power of the piece.
‘A prostitute has a really old guy as a client. He won’t wear a condom so she will only give him head. He talks about dying and she takes out life assurance on him but he doesn’t die. Breaking her condom rule she tries to love him to death but instead she gets pregnant and has a baby boy. The old guy is delighted and leaves all his money to the boy in a trust fund for when he’s 21. The old guy dies and she tries for the insurance but it was suicide and they won’t pay out. She must look for another old man.’
Don’t you think it shows us how lightweight our society has become?
No, it is an old topic (have you ever heard of Ana Nicole Smith?) and not something a lot of people want to know about, certainly not the educated half of the world.
