health insurance tax deduction
How much do you pay for health insurance independently or through your employer?

My family pays 7200.00 yearly for health premiums. That does not include deductibles, co-pays and prescriptions.
Gov. Palins says McCain proposes a tax deduction 5,000. what would that cover: especially if the 7200.00 is taxed as McCain proposes.
I have no idea what if anything is paid by my husband employer and my figure doesn’t include life ins. or disability.
I don’t want web sites. I am looking to see what is average.

Too damned much for the coverage we receive. Nearly $5,000 per year.
Our own plans, since we’ve retired. And, of course, that above amt. does not cover co-pays and deductibles. Both of us have some relief on prescriptions, not enough I feel.
