What can i expect from car flood/rain damage?
We had some high rain waters in Houston, Texas today. When i got into my 2007 Ford Fusion (40,000 miles) the floor of the vehicle was wet. I called my insurance company, they will send someone out to inspect.
will it be plagued with problems for life now? or is it fixable? like i said the only thing that was wet was the floor of the vehicle, meaning the water reached up to that point….
Floor pan rust and mildew will most likely be the worst of it. I’d worry more if it reached your wiring, because then you would have major electrical problems.
You may want to have the trans axles or rear end checked to see if water entered them as well as checking the transmission to see if any water leaked into it.
